HUDSON, NC (October 26, 2021) – Caldwell Community College and Technical Institute is now enrolling in several upcoming courses including Workforce Development, Skills Training, and Personal Enrichment. Here is a schedule of upcoming classes:

Spring Academy Basic Law Enforcement Training
The Caldwell Community College and Technical Institute Basic Law Enforcement Academy, Spring 2022, is accepting applications until noon on Wednesday, December 1. The class meets from January 10 to May 13. The dates and times of class meetings vary. Scholarships are available for students who qualify. Free training for advanced manufacturing careers
The free IMPACT Institute at Caldwell Community College and Technical Institute prepares students for entry-level advanced manufacturing jobs and qualifies them for scholarships to further their education in the following fields: industrial maintenance, machining, mechatronics, mechanical engineering and welding. Students must be at least 18 years old and have graduated from high school. The IMPACT Day Institute meets on the Caldwell campus in Hudson from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., Monday through Thursday, January 10 to February 7. In the evenings, the IMPACT Institute meets on the Caldwell campus in Hudson from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m., Monday to Thursday, February 7 to March 31. Plumbing I
The Caldwell Campus of Caldwell Community College and Technical Institute will offer an Introduction to Plumbing (Level 1) from 5:30 p.m. to 9 p.m. on Tuesdays and Thursdays, January 11 through April 21 at J-220. The class serves as the entry level requirement for all other courses in the plumbing program. This course introduces basic plumbing tools, materials, and accessories. Topics include plumbing materials, different types of fixtures, choosing the right tools, and basic plumbing systems. The cost of the course is $ 182. Scholarships are available. Institute of Furniture Technology: Introduction to Upholstery
Caldwell Community College and the Furniture Technology Institute at the Technical Institute will offer an introduction to upholstery on Mondays and Wednesdays, 5:30 to 9:30 p.m., January 10 to April 18 at J-118 on the Caldwell campus . The course is designed to provide the knowledge and skills necessary to become a novice upholsterer. In addition, students will acquire the general skills necessary for the job. The course includes basic skills, training in upholstered furniture manufacturing concepts, tools and safety, as well as training in employability skills, communication, problem solving and management. critical thinking. Institute of Furniture Technology: industrial sewing
Caldwell Community College and the Furniture Technology Institute at the Technical Institute will be offering an industrial sewing class on Tuesdays and Thursdays, 6 to 9 p.m., Jan.6 to April 26 at J-121 on the Caldwell campus. Introduction to Industrial Sewing is designed to train students in manufacturing concepts, tools, safety, and communication skills that will help them prepare for a sewer career in a variety of manufacturing settings. Emphasis is placed on the operation, setup and maintenance of the machine, threading, sewing straight lines, corners, curves and welts. Upon completion, students should be able to set up and use a variety of industrial sewing machines. The cost of the course is $ 182. Scholarships are available. Electrical Lineman I
Caldwell Community College and Technical Institute will be offering the Power Lineman I on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., Nov. 29 to Jan. 26 at the Caldwell campus. The Institute of Power Linemen prepares students for an apprenticeship career for a journeyman lineman. In this program, students will develop the knowledge and skills necessary to install, operate, maintain and repair outdoor residential, commercial and industrial electrical systems, as well as associated power transmission lines. HVAC I
The Caldwell Campus of Caldwell Community College and Technical Institute will offer an Introduction to CVC (Level 1) Tuesdays and Thursdays from 5:30 p.m. to 9 p.m. from January 11 to April 21 at J-221. This course serves as the entry level requirement for all other courses in the HVAC program. The program focuses on basic carbon steel piping practices, basic copper and plastic piping practices, basic electricity, introduction to heating, cooling and distribution systems. air, welding and brazing, and business mathematics. Industrial maintenance I
The Caldwell Campus of Caldwell Community College and Technical Institute will offer an Introduction to Industrial Maintenance (Level 1) on Tuesdays and Thursdays from Jan. 11 to April 21 from 5:30 p.m. to 9 p.m. at S-103. This course is designed to provide students with the fundamental knowledge and skills necessary to install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair equipment found in a variety of industries. Designed for the “hands-on” technician, this course covers the five main areas of industrial maintenance knowledge: electrical maintenance, general maintenance, mechanical maintenance, preventive maintenance and welding. Therapeutic massage
Caldwell Community College and Technical Institute will be offering a massage therapy class from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Monday, Wednesday and Friday from February 2, 2022 to February 22, 2023 at the Caldwell campus in Hudson. This course is designed to prepare students for the certification exam required for the North Carolina practice license application process. The course will include anatomy and physiology, multiple styles of massage, multiple styles of therapy, ethics, North Carolina laws and regulations, wellness, and personal care. Students who successfully complete this massage therapy training will receive three points for competitive admission into the CCC & TI Physiotherapy Assistant program. The cost of the class is $ 200. Continuous training of general contractors
Caldwell Community College and Technical Institute will be offering a continuing education course for general contractors on November 20 from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the JE Broyhill Civic Center in Lenoir. North Carolina General Law 87-10.2 requires 8 hours of continuing education each year to renew a contractor’s license. This course offers the 8 hour renewal course which includes the compulsory 2 hour course produced by the NCLBGC Board of Directors with information on changes in laws and rules and other content applicable to general contracts as well as 6 hours of optional lessons. Upon successful completion of the course, students will be able to renew their entrepreneurial license. The cost of the course is $ 195. Manicurist / Nail technician
Caldwell Community College and Technical Institute will be offering a Manicure / Nail Technician course Monday through Thursday, 12 p.m. to 5 p.m., Jan. 18 through May 9, at the Caldwell campus in Hudson.
