JEFFERSONVILLE, in. (WDRB) – Kids can have fun and improve their basketball skills with a special summer camp.
Keith Kaiser from WDRB joined Robbie Valentine before his camp began next month.
For over 30 years, Robbie Valentine Basketball Summer Camp has been a premier summer camp for youth in Louisville, Kentucky.
The camp is aimed at boys and girls aged 5-16 and emphasizes individual instruction in all phases of the game.
Campers can expect to learn the fundamentals of becoming a better basketball player in areas such as defense, shooting, passing, ball handling, teamwork and leadership.
In addition to learning skills on the court, Robbie teaches campers valuable life skills with the help of guest speakers from the local basketball community.
Two sessions will take place at KFC Yum! Center and another session will be held at the historic Nachand Fieldhouse in Jeffersonville.
Built in 1937, the Nachand Fieldhouse is one of the oldest and most valuable buildings in the region.
