Jumpstart to On-Farm Food Security with UMaine, UNH Extensions

ORONO – The University of Maine Cooperative Extension and the University of New Hampshire Cooperative Extension are hosting an informative webinar on a new program for agricultural producers to help them get started or improve their planning on-farm food safety from 4:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday, March 1.

“Jumpstart to Farm Food Safety” is a one-year technical assistance program available on request for agricultural producers in Maine and New Hampshire that includes a site visit, prioritization of needs and development of a plan food security. Rob Machado, UMaine Extension Assistant Professor and Food Science Specialist; Jason Bolton, Extension Associate Professor and Food Safety Specialist; and Mary Choate, UNH Extension Associate Field Specialist and Food Security Field Specialist, will moderate the webinar.
