Wondering what to do for the fall vacation? Come to the Highlands Center in Prescott for the Fall Nature Camp! Spend well-earned outdoor time while exploring, challenging, creating, building, journaling, and making friends! Campers will find out if they’re as smart as a spider or as smart as a crow. They will learn something about themselves and the local wildlife through play and interaction. Make friends and find out what the forest has to offer!

Camps run from October 11 to 15 and are from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. daily. The cost is $ 240, $ 185 for members. Scholarships are available. Register for Fall Break Camp at 928-776-9550 or visit (All programming is outside but pack a mask in case it should move inside.

The Highlands Center Fall Break Nature Camps are held on the 80-acre Highlands Center campus in the Prescott National Forest, two miles from Highway 69.

What to expect at the Highlands Center nature camps:

  • Innovative and engaging learning activities in the woods
  • Insects, Birds, Mammals and Plants Survey
  • Discoveries through fascinating stories from the land
  • Observe the connections of the natural world individually and with peers
  • Record memories through writing and drawing

Highlands Nature Camp Scholarship Program

The Highlands Center offers partial scholarships based on financial need. Scholarships are limited to one scholarship per child per year, whether for a spring or fall vacation program, summer camp, or knee-high naturalist sessions.
