The Himachal Pradesh cabinet, chaired by Chief Minister Jairam Thakur, on Saturday gave approval to hire 3,970 para-paid workers, six hours a day, in Jal Shakti county for departmental programs in accordance with the policy of the para workers.
The Cabinet also announced that the state government would guarantee jobs for Agniveers.
He has agreed to fill 389 panchayat secretary positions in the Panchayati Raj department through the Personnel Selection Committee through direct contract recruitment.
The Cabinet has given approval to create 124 new posts and fill 40 Technical Assistant posts in Panchayati Raj Department through the Personnel Selection Committee.
He also gave his approval to fill 124 Gram Rojgar Sewak positions for the newly constituted gram panchayats through the selection committee.
It approved the creation and filling of 73 police staff positions in the excise department. This would not only preserve government revenue but also reaffirm the government’s commitment to tackling the drug threat holistically, according to an official statement.
He also gave his approval to change the 2013 Himachal Pradesh widow remarriage rules to provide a grant of Rs 65,000 instead of the existing Rs 50,000 for the couple.
