PARSONS — More than $96,000 has been awarded to a total of 47 nonprofit organizations by the Tucker Community Foundation through its annual grant program.
“Each year it is exciting to distribute the grants from people who help people in the communities of the region”, Mike Moore, executive director of the Tucker Community Foundation, said. “We create opportunities for the everyday donor to give ‘more’ as a group than they could achieve and fund on their own. This is the raison d’être of our community foundation.
The awards were made possible through resources from the Foundation’s designated and unrestricted endowment funds, agency funds and donor-advised funds, a Tucker Community Foundation press release said. Grants support arts and culture, education, emergency relief, community and economic development, services for seniors, recreation and youth.
